Academic star is recognized

EAST PALESTINE

Jacob Sloppy, an eighth-grade student at East Palestine Middle School, was recently named an Academic All-Star by the Ohio Lottery.

Counselor Elizabeth Sherry says, “Jacob is a great young man with a giving spirit. He is known as a positive role model for the school, and he is described by his peers as “respectful, kind and caring.”

For being recognized as an Academic All-Star, Sloppy will receive an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery along with a gift card.
