Warren police search house near Wednesday's fatal shooting site
Staff report
WARREN
Warren police executed a search warrant Wednesday night at a house on Surfwood Circle Southwest close to the location where Charles R. Parisi Jr. was gunned down about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Warren law enforcement said the search was done because they suspect the house is connected to the death. Authorities say family members and friends of Parisi have given them information suggesting a motive in the shooting, though they won’t reveal what it is.
Parisi, 29, of Viall Road, Austintown, died after being shot off his motorcycle near the intersection of Deerfield Avenue, Sixth Street and Surfwood. He was shot again moments later as he lay on the ground.
A Warren school bus with children on board was traveling close to the shooting scene. The driver then left the neighborhood immediately to protect the children.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, Parisi was unresponsive.
Parisi had been booked into the Trumbull County jail 29 times since October 2007, the most recent being in November 2015 on an assault charge from 2014. He was sentenced to one year in prison in 2012 out of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on a robbery charge out of Boardman.
