A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard:

GIRARD

Nov. 3

Aggravated menacing: A Church Hill Road woman told officers a 16-year-old boy has been threatening her teenage son, including a threat to fight him.

Recovered property: A man found a wallet in the 100 block of Market Street.

Nov. 4

Domestic violence: Franky Munoz, 22, of Alameda Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend, of Girard, alleged Munoz had struck her head on several occasions during an argument in a vehicle.

Theft: Nicholas J. Clark, 22, of Glenaven Avenue, Youngstown, and Ryan D. Meadows, 24, of Rush Boulevard, Youngstown, faced theft and criminal-trespassing charges after a $100 scrap refrigerator was taken off a truck that belongs to Dave’s Appliance & Repair, 1224 S. State St.

Nov. 5

Harassment: A 16-year-old Girard boy said he received messages via Instagram threatening him with bodily harm as part of a dispute regarding a third party.

Nov. 6

Identity theft: A Woodlawn Avenue woman told officers a man claiming to represent a loan agency sent her a text message before she provided him with information she believed was for an application. Afterward, the accuser received a check that later bounced, then discovered $700 had been removed from her bank account.

Theft: A woman reported a purse missing from her South Elruth Court home.

Harassment: An East Howard Street woman said she received text messages that were inflammatory in nature.

Trespassing: A Forsythe Avenue woman alleged her estranged husband walked around her property and took pictures of and videotaped the premises before leaving.

Theft: A man reported about 40 articles of clothing stolen while he patronized a West Broadway Avenue laundry facility.

Assaults: Two women alleged a man pushed and punched them after the victims had asked him to leave a residence in the 300 block of Ohio Avenue.

Nov. 7

Burglary: A woman reported hearing suspicious noises in the downstairs of her East Liberty Street residence before discovering several drawers had been opened and items strewn about, though she found no one in the home when she went to investigate.

Assaults: A ninth-grade Girard High School student alleged another student had punched his face as he got off a school bus near North Avenue. The other student alleged the ninth-grader had jumped him and punched his left ear.

LIBERTY

Nov. 3

Aggravated menacing: A caseworker with a Belmont Avenue counseling center alleged a client became agitated and threatened to harm her during his appointment with her. The client also made a threatening gesture to another worker, a police report showed.

Nov. 4

Drugs: Police responded to a possible fight at a Belmont Avenue motel before Matthew A. Kelley, 23, of Griswold Street, Sharon, Pa.; Brittani A. Palumbo, 26, of Idaho Street, Hermitage, Pa.; and Hollis B. Stull, 46, of Sharpsville-Thompson Road, Burghill, were charged with several drug offenses. Found were a small bindle of suspected heroin, a needle, two suspected crack-cocaine pipes, a device commonly used to prepare heroin, several spoons with burn marks typical in drug use, a wrapper with suspected heroin, hypodermic needles and $1,400 in cash, a report showed.

Nov. 5

Arrests: A traffic stop on Belmont Avenue resulted in the arrest of Addra M. Franklin, 25, of Fifth Street, Warren, on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon when, police said, a set of brass knuckles was found in Franklin’s purse. Also taken into custody was Elijah Johnson, 29, of Palmer Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of resisting arrest after authorities alleged Johnson twice walked away as officers tried to arrest him and refused to cooperate. In addition, both were wanted on warrants charging failure to appear in court.

Burglary: Someone pried open and damaged a garage door to a home in the 2800 block of Logan Way, though nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Drugs: While responding to a one-vehicle crash on Madison Road, authorities charged Eric L. Abron, 36, with drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle impaired after alleging a bag of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe were found. The Cleveland man was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and treated for having overdosed on prescription drugs, medical personnel told police.

Criminal damaging: A Youngstown woman alleged her 23-year-old former boyfriend, of Youngstown, showed up at her place of employment on Arbor Circle, then kicked and dented the rear hatch to her car.

Nov. 6

Arrest: After getting a call pertaining to a possible vehicular accident on Murray Hill Drive, officers charged Ajia S. Ziegler, 19, with obstructing official business. Ziegler, of Ferndale Avenue Southwest, Warren, provided several inconsistencies in her story about the accident, a report showed.

Fraud: A Hadley Avenue woman reported that after seeing several Facebook posts for supposedly making a large amount of money with a small payment up front, she transferred $376 from her account before discovering the information had been used to hack into her social media account, including changing her password and email information without consent.

Theft: Commercial spotlights were stolen next to a sign on property that belongs to Shepherd of the Valley, 400 Tibbetts-Wick Road. The theft was estimated at $2,000.

Nov. 7

Drugs: Authorities responded to Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, before reportedly seizing a bag of suspected marijuana from a student’s vehicle. No charges had been filed at the time of the report, however.

Possible burglary: Officers investigated a possible break-in at a residence in the 700 block of Colonial Drive, where they reportedly found a rear door missing its handle.

HUBBARD

Nov. 3

Domestic violence: Edward A. Mueller Jr. of Triangle Drive, Hubbard, was charged after a woman alleged that during an argument about her truck, Mueller, 39, threw her to the ground and did not allow her up for a brief time. The accuser was found with scrapes and red marks on her arm and hand.

Nov. 5

Theft: A Hubbard woman, 28, reportedly stole a $10 bottle of medicine from Dollar General, 886 W. Liberty St. She was not charged but was issued a criminal-trespassing warning.

Arrest: Lynne E. Mashiska, 64, of Forest Hill Drive, Hubbard, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired after having been pulled over near South Main Street. Mashiska refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test, a report stated.
