When: Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.
What: Give thanks this season and bring a nonperishable food item to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley and in return explore the protected Wildlife Sanctuary of Mill Creek MetroParks with naturalist Arika Press.
Where: Sanctuary, 2650 West Calla Road, Beaver Township.
Cost: Free.

Let’s Go Nuts
When: Saturday, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
What: Join us as we enjoy a short hike to discover various types of nuts and why they are so important. Then return to the nature center to create a nutty craft.

Houseplants for winter
When: Monday, 9:30 a.m. to noon
What: Learn to grow and care for your plants and some new ones. Pot a new plant to take home.

What: Turn your summer flower containers into holiday masterpieces.

Raptors: Birds of Prey!
When: Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.
What: Raptors possess several unique anatomical characteristics that allow them to be superior hunters. Join expert Heather Merritt from Birds in Flight Sanctuary to see the birds up close and learn about their role in nature, and in your backyard.

What: Join the Sprout Club to learn about the amazing world of plants.
