Three people were arrested on drug charges after police said they found drugs and paraphernalia in their bags and car Saturday morning.

The vehicle was parked at Motel 6 on Belmont Avenue, according to a police report. Police responded to a call about a fight in the parking lot around 12:50 a.m.

Hollis Stull, 46, of Burghill, appeared to be intoxicated, the report said. He was in his car when police arrived.

Police searched Stull’s car and found a straw with drug residue.

Officers spoke to Brittani Palumbo, 26, of Hermitage, Pa., and Matthew Kelley, 23, of Sharon, Pa., who were standing outside the car. Palumbo told officers they were at the motel to party, the report said.

Police searched Kelley and Palumbo’s belongings. A small amount of suspected heroin, drug equipment including two glass crack pipes and needles with residue and blood, more than $1,400 in cash, and gold jewelry were found in the bags, the report said.

A $10 bill wrapped up with brown residue inside was also found in Stull’s pocket.

Footage from inside the patrol car where Stull was detained showed that Stull tried to eat two bags of suspected drugs that were stuffed in his pants, then stuck the bags in between the seats where an officer later found them, the report said.

Kelley and Palumbo are charged with possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia and drug-abuse instruments. Stull was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine, heroin, drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence, the report said.
