Various local professionals recently brought their vehicles to Brookfield Elementary School as part of Vehicle Day. The event was designed to expose students to a variety of career opportunities that require vehicles, such as postal workers, firefighters, construction workers, police officers and more. The vehicles were parked outside the school, and each classroom got to learn from the guests about their professions and why their vehicle is important. Guests included the Brookfield Police and Fire departments, Masury Branch of the U.S. Postal Service, A&W Lawn Care Service, Trumbull County Dog Warden and Sheriff’s department, GW Becker Inc. and a special visitor, country singer Chris Higbee. Above, the students in Mrs. Zebroski’s class learned from Brookfield firefighters about fire safety and the equipment they use on their trucks.
