A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

Menacing: An Eastbrooke Trail man said he had been threatened.

Nov. 3

Arrest: Police at a Doral Drive store took Rodney E. Mock, 53, of Sanderson Avenue, Campbell, into custody upon learning he was wanted on a warrant from that city. Mock also faced charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia when, authorities alleged, he provided a false name, became combative with an officer and had a suspected crack-cocaine pipe in his pocket.

Burglaries: While responding to a possible break-in at a South Avenue mobile-home park, authorities charged George W. Panno III, 24, of East Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown, with three counts of burglary. Officers found broken windows to three mobile homes that were the result of apparent attempted break-ins, a report showed.

Theft: A West Boulevard woman reported a package containing various types of lipstick was removed from her doorstep.

Drugs: A traffic stop near Midlothian Boulevard resulted in a minor-misdemeanor citation charging Tanisha DeJesus of Glenellen Avenue, Youngstown, with having suspected marijuana in a cigarette pack.

Attempted burglary: A woman in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue reported someone pulled on her front and rear doorknobs, apparently in an effort to enter her apartment.

Theft: Thomas C. Blake, 46, of Thomas Road, Hubbard, was charged with stealing about $78 worth of items from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Thefts: Constance S. Way, 56, surrendered on two theft charges after police alleged Way, of Springdale Avenue, Youngstown, had stolen a total of about $790 worth of bedding and other merchandise in two shoplifting situations last month at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Identity fraud: A Shields Road woman found out someone without authorization had created a phony Facebook page that listed the accuser’s name and showed a photograph of her.

Assault: A Youngstown woman alleged a woman, 19, had attacked her during a fight at Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Authorities at Boardman Area Court on Market Street took custody of Dante M. Chick Jr., 24, who was wanted on a theft charge. Chick, of Farm Drive, Canfield, was accused of taking about $105 worth of clothing June 2 from Kohl’s.

Nov. 4

Assault: A Boardman man reported having been struck in the head during an argument in the Southern Park Mall parking lot, though he had no visible injuries.

Citation: During a traffic stop on Market Street, officers issued a minor-misdemeanor citation charging Ronald R. Green of Cooper Street, Youngstown, with having a bag of suspected marijuana.

Domestic violence: Marcellus J. Wilkins, 31, of Nova Lane, Poland, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend alleged that during an argument, Wilkins pushed her down a set of stairs, then punched her face.

Assault/theft: A township man reported a man got out of a truck and pushed him from behind after the accuser had pulled over in the 100 block of Boardman-Canfield Road. The man then took a key to the victim’s motorcycle, he also told police.

Criminal mischief: A mailbox was knocked over in the 1700 block of Island Drive.

Identity theft: A Shadyside Drive woman reported her boyfriend, of Akron, had received an online post that contained inappropriate messages about her, along with the accuser’s phone number and personal information.

Theft: A Struthers woman noticed her wallet missing from her purse while she patronized a store in the 7100 block of Tiffany Boulevard.

Drugs: A woman in the 400 block of Boardman-Canfield Road was reportedly found slumped in a vehicle, where a white and a brown powder were found. The brown substance tested positive for heroin, police said, though no charges had been filed at the time of the report.

Theft: A Girard woman reported her $900 iPhone stolen while she shopped at a Boardman-Poland Road big-box store.

Theft: A 17-year-old Youngstown boy was accused of stealing a sweatshirt, a comforter and a pair of sweatpants from Walmart.

Criminal mischief: A Youngstown woman at a Market Street motel reported being informed that someone without permission had opened her mail.

Theft: A woman in her early to mid-20s reportedly stole a $13 pair of cleaning gloves from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.

Nov. 5

Arrest: After answering a call about a woman passed out in a car in the 6000 block of Market Street, police charged Samantha A. Wayne, 31, of Lettie Avenue, Campbell, with having physical control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Wayne had overdosed while in the front seat, authorities alleged.

Harassment: A Grover Drive woman reported a woman against whom the accuser had filed a protection order sent and made about 150 such text messages and roughly 20 unwanted calls to her.

Assault: Shadane K. Atkins, 27, of South Avenue, Boardman, faced a simple-assault charge after having been picked up at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Earlier, a staff member with a South Avenue group home reported that during an argument about cigarettes, a resident tossed an object at her and punched her face, leaving numerous injuries that included a large cut to the accuser’s forehead and swelling to her right ear.

Theft: An Island Drive woman noticed $40 missing from her car.

Arrest: After pulling him over in the 4000 block of Glenwood Avenue, police charged James P. Brink, 48, of Oakview Drive, Girard, with operating a vehicle impaired. Brink’s blood-alcohol content was 0.145, which exceeds Ohio’s 0.08 legal intoxication limit, a report showed.

Counterfeit: A woman reportedly passed a fake $20 bill at a Get Go gas station, 6911 South Ave.

Harassment: An employee with a Market Street auto-parts business reported a caller had asked when the store was to close and, during the suspicious call, claimed someone would be sent to service the alarm system.

Criminal damaging: A mailbox in the 1800 block of Johnston Place sustained $40 in damage.

Nov. 6

Arrest: While dealing with a vehicular accident with possible injuries on Pierce Drive, authorities charged Donald J. Augenstein of Sugar Bush Drive, Canfield, with operating a vehicle impaired. Augenstein, 57, registered a 0.10 blood-alcohol content, a report stated.

Criminal damaging: An Alburn Drive woman discovered a mirror had been broken off her car.

Burglary: To an apartment in the 8100 block of Stadler Avenue via a basement door. A Kindle device, a cellphone, a purse and roughly $40 were missing.

Criminal damaging: A Chester Drive man noticed scratches on the rear of his vehicle and on its doors.

Theft by deception: A Wildwood Drive woman told authorities that while checking her emails, a warning message appeared on her computer with a phone number, before which she was twice instructed to buy $700 gift cards, supposedly to pay for a package to protect her computer from hackers. Afterward, the victim was issued a $700 electronic check that a local bank informed her was invalid.

Bad check: A St. Albans Drive man who was selling on Craigslist a subwoofer for $250 reported receiving a $1,850 check with specific instructions before a township bank confirmed the check was fraudulent.

Theft: Someone on Ewing Road broke into two trucks that belong to a Boardman tree-service company, then removed two chain saws, a grinding saw and a leaf blower. The loss was estimated at more than $2,000.

Domestic violence: While investigating an incident in the area, police arrested Celeste G. Wolfe, 26, of Alburn Drive, Boardman, on charges of domestic violence and theft after an Oct. 22 situation in which her girlfriend alleged having awoken to find Wolfe punching her, before which the accuser was thrown to the ground and had her hair pulled as she tried to escape. Wolfe also refused to give the victim her car keys and cellphone, she further alleged.

Theft: Cameron I. Hines, 18, of Madison Avenue, Youngstown, was charged, accused of stealing a $55 pair of men’s sweatpants from Kohl’s.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 40 block of Alburn Drive was found with its driver’s-side rearview mirror broken off. Damage came to $100.

Domestic violence: Police at a Market Street motel charged Darin T. Jenkins of Market, Boardman, after a situation in which his former girlfriend alleged Jenkins, 44, had pushed her onto a bed, then struck her face five or six times during an argument, resulting in swelling to the affected area.

Theft: Three women reportedly stole $200 worth of children’s clothing from T.J. Maxx & More, 717 Boardman-Poland Road.

Aggravated menacing: A worker with a Boardman-Canfield Road financial firm told police an irate caller made an implied threat regarding a loan payment.
