Fatal crash probed
VERNON TOWNSHIP
A van-commercial bus crash in Vernon Township late Saturday in which a Kinsman man was killed and the driver of the bus suffered nonlife-threatening injuries remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Warren Post.
Killed in the head-on crash shortly before 11:30 p.m. on state Route 88 near Orangeville-Kinsman Road was David Stevens, 58, of Kinsman, who the OSHP said was driving a van that went left of center on Route 88 and was struck head-on by a commercial bus traveling in the opposite direction. Stevens was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital where he died. Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the Anderson bus, Amy L. Fuller, 64, of Linesville, Pa., also was taken to St. Elizabeth.
