Holborn guild awards scholarship

Holborn Herb Growers Guild hosted its annual tea Sept. 10 at the Western Reserve Village in Canfield. The featured speaker was Ellen Speicher, horticulture expert. The guild also presented a $1,000 scholarship to Jessica Cvelbar to further her education in horticulture. The guild was established in 1982, and its members volunteer their time to maintain the public gardens in Boardman Township Park and the Western Reserve Village at the Canfield Fairgrounds.
