Neighbors | Submitted .Boardman high school sophomore Mitchel Dunham placed 16th at the OHSAA District Championship in Warren. This advanced him to the OHSAA Regional Championship.
Boardman Spartan sophomore Mitchel Dunham advanced to the OHSAA Regional Championship for the second consecutive season after placing 16th overall in a career-best time of 16:32 at the OHSAA District Championship in Warren.
That time moves Dunham to 21st All-Time in Boardman High School history.
The Spartans finished 10th overall as a team. Scoring for the Spartans was senior Mark Moradian in 30th place at 17:01, senior Nick Lascola in a career-best time of 17:53 for 60th, senior Matt Moradian in a personal-best time of 17:56 in 61st and freshman Caydin Newberry in 65th place in a time of 18:01.
“Very happy for Mitchel and very proud of our team,” said Boardman Head Coach John Phillips. “This district is the toughest in Ohio and our guys did their very best today, they should hold their heads up high.”
