Let’s Go Nuts

When: Nov. 11, 1 to 2:30 p.m.

What: Join us as we enjoy a short hike to discover various types of nuts and why they are so important. Then return to the nature center to create a nutty craft.

GIVING THANKS HIKE

When: Nov. 12, 2 to 4 p.m.

What: Give thanks this season and bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley and in return, explore the protected Wildlife Sanctuary of Mill Creek MetroParks with naturalist Arika Press.

Where: Sanctuary, 2650 West Calla Road, Beaver Township.

Cost: Free.

Winter Fun with Houseplants

Raptors: Birds of Prey!

What: Raptors possess several unique anatomical characteristics that allow them to be superior hunters. Join expert Heather Merritt from Birds in Flight Sanctuary to see the birds up close and learn about their role in nature, and in your backyard.
