Pa. woman gets prison term for role in Struthers man's death

YOUNGSTOWN — A Pennsylvania woman who provided a man with the drugs that caused his overdose death will serve two years in prison.
Kelsey Armeni, 24, of Hillsville, Pa., pleaded guilty to corrupting another with drugs and trafficking in heroin for her role in the January overdose death of Tod Childs, 26, of Struthers.
Prosecutors dropped a charge of involuntary manslaughter in exchange for the plea.
Judge Maureen A. Sweeney of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court sentenced Armeni today to two years in prison with three years’ parole upon release.
Armeni apologized for her actions. She said she hopes, in the future, she can use the experience of losing a boyfriend to help others battling addiction.
