Man faces gun charges after traffic stop

YOUNGSTOWN — Police found a loaded gun Tuesday afternoon after pulling a man over about 3:20 p.m. on Lexington Avenue.

Reports said Jarrid Lopez, 22, of Bruce Street, told police the gun was in the center console of the car, which is where police found it.

Lopez was arrested in a charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and taken to the Mahoning County jail.
