7 arraigned after Memorial Day weekend OVI citations


YOUNGSTOWN — Seven people were arraigned in municipal court today on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence after being cited over the holiday weekend.

Of those who were cited, five were cited by troopers of the Canfield Barracks of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and one each by the city police department and the Youngstown State University Police Department.

Of the seven cited, three of them were also charged with the specification that had a blood alcohol content of .17 or over. In Ohio, a driver is considered impaired if they have a BAC of .08.
