Art in the Park takes place Saturday

Orashan Civic Center Band Shell in Waterworth Memorial Park, 866 Sunset Blvd., will be the location of Art in the Park at 10 a.m. Saturday. There will be activities, performances and displays appropriate for families.

Artisans will feature wool spinning, graphic art, wood carving and kits. There will be make-it-and-take-it projects, a graffiti wall for participants to paint and coloring tables for children.

The event is hosted by Salem Public Library and Salem Parks and Recreation, and no registration is required. In the event of rain, activities will take place in Salem Memorial Building, 785 E. State St.
