ENGINEERING

CT Consultants Inc. recently announced the addition of Julie Thomas, PE, as a senior project manager. She brings more than 24 years of experience and has led multidisciplined teams on a variety of projects as the client manager.

During Thomas’ career, she has worked on a variety of public works projects, including street reconstructions and relocations, storm-sewer projects, downtown enhancements, recreational trails, development plans and boat ramps.

Thomas graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Ohio.

INSURANCE

Craig Villwock of Warren, owner of TLC Insurance Group, has been selected by United-Healthcare to serve a two-year term on the AARP Services Inc. (ASI) Agent Advisory Council, a forum established to gather information to help enhance the products and services that benefit AARP members. Villwock is one of only 12 health insurance agents nationwide selected to serve on the volunteer council.

He was selected for the ASI Agent Advisory Council based on his commitment to serving AARP members, knowledge of Medicare and knowledge of the Warren community.

FINANCIAL

Joel D. Matthews, a private wealth adviser with Intellectual Wealth Group, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. in Canfield, has qualified for the company’s “Circle of Success” annual recognition program and was honored for this achievement at the 2017 Achiever’s Conference in Nashville, Tenn. To earn this achievement, Matthews established himself as one of the company’s top advisers.

AWARDS

St. Elizabeth Youngstown, St. Elizabeth Boardman and St. Joseph Warren hospitals collectively earned six 2017 Women’s Choice Awards, which is intended to empower women to make smart health care choices by identifying the country’s best health care institutions.

The awards received were: Best Breast Centers, St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital/Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center; Best Hospitals for Bariatric Surgery, St. Joseph; Best Hospitals for Cancer Care, St. Joseph; Best Hospitals for Obstetrics, St. Elizabeth Boardman; Best Hospitals for Orthopedics, St. Joseph; and Best Hospitals for Patient Safety, St. Joseph.

The awards were presented recently to two of Mercy Health-Youngstown’s female leaders: Genie Aubel, president of St. Elizabeth Boardman; and Kathy Cook, president of St. Joseph.
