“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): With Memorial Day quickly approaching, Delmas Stubbs of the Mahoning County Veterans Commission and Rod Hosler of the American Legion will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss new opportunities for younger generation veterans in the Valley.

Ed Weisheimer and Leigh Greene will discuss the upcoming Healthy Babies Block Party, which is a result of the community dialogue on racism and infant mortality.

Next, Leni Schultz and Marianne Boyanowski will discuss the 13th annual Step Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk at Boardman Park.

Finally spelling bee champion Macey Stancato will discuss her trip to Washington, D.C., to represent Youngstown.

“A Conversation with Dee” (Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WYTV-TV): Host Dee Crawford will talk with coordinators of an employment and training program that is being offered to residents of Mahoning County.

The program, sponsored by Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP), includes a six-week training course covering soft skills training, resume writing and job-application assistance, job-placement counseling and supportive services to find and maintain employment.

“Senior Focus” (Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. on Armstrong Cable channels 20 and 100): Thomas Welsh will discuss his new book “A History of Jewish Youngstown and the Steel Valley” on Senior Focus hosted by Bill Adams.

The book explores the story of the Jewish community in Youngstown, Warren and western Pennsylvania.
