Boardman Park has 40th anniversary of the Music in the Park concert series

Boardman Park recently announced its 40th anniversary of the Music in the Park concert series.

They have a great line-up of local entertainment along with two military band concerts.

Pack up your blankets and lawn chairs and head out to Boardman Park’s Maag Outdoor Theatre every Thursday, beginning June 1. All concerts, except for the July 1 Air National Guard Band of the Northeast and July 8 US Army Jazz Band, will begin at 7 p.m.

All concerts are free and open to the public thanks to the sponsorships of The Ohio Arts Council, The American Federation of Musicians Local #86-242, Phantom Fireworks, Aqua, Inc., Boardman Subaru, HBK CPA’s & Consultants, The DeBartolo Corporation and Cortland Bank.

The 2017 Music in Boardman Park schedule is June 1 - Guys Without Ties (Classic Rock), June 8 - John Reuben’s Deuce’s Wild (Cover band), June 15 - Full House NEO (Covers), June 22 - Following June (Oldies/Classic Rock), June 29 - The Wrangler Band (Country), July 1 at 8 p.m. - Air National Guard Band of the Northeast/fireworks (in the case of rain, the concert will be moved to Boardman High School’s Performing Arts Center), July 6 - Steve Fazzini (Italian/Covers), July 8 at 6:30 p.m. - US Army Jazz Band, July 13 - Youngstown Area Community Concert Band, July 20 - Chardon Polka Band, July 27 - John Reese Project (Covers), Aug. 3 - The Rocco Monaco Band (Italian/ covers), Aug. 10 - Glass City Swing Band, Aug. 17 - The Del Sinchak Band (Polka) and Aug. 24 - Boardman High School Jazz Ensemble.
