Liberty woman swallows drug after pulling it from her private parts
YOUNGSTOWN ā A Liberty woman is in St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital on a police hold after reports said she took a dose of drugs out of her private parts today while being booked into the Mahoning County jail and swallowed it.
Christina Gradillas, 37, of Montrose Drive, was arrested about 12:35 a.m. after leading officers on a foot and vehicle chase that started at Zedaker and East Avondale avenues on the South Side when she almost collided head-on with a city police officer who was on patrol.
When the officer tried to pull her over, she refused to stop, reports said.
Reports said Gradillas was caught in a backyard in the 900 block of Pasadena Avenue after abandoning her car at East Dewey and Zedaker avenues. She had four used needles and two burnt spoons in a bag in the car, reports said.
At the jail, when she was changing clothes, reports said she told officers she had used heroin and crack cocaine before she was arrested. A female corrections officer who was in the changing room with Gradillas said she swallowed a rock-like substance she had hidden in her private parts after shouting, āIām trying to change my life! What are you doing to me?ā
