Dulci-More festival will feature traditional music

The 23rd annual Dulci-More folk and traditional music festival will take place Friday through Sunday at BSA Camp McKinley, 37748 Furnace Road.

The music will start at 7 p.m. Friday when members of Dulci-More will perform a short opening set. Also performing will be Bill Cohen, and Lois Hornbostel and Ehukai Teves.

Saturday evening’s concert starts at 7 p.m. with Dulci-More in another short set. Also performing will be Tina Bergmann and Bryan Thomas, and Bryan Bowers.

Sunday evening’s concert starts at 7 p.m. with another short set from Dulci-More. Goodhue will take the stage next, joined by Bowers. Finishing out the festival will be Madeline MacNeil.

Bill Schilling of Salem, Dulci-More president, will be the performing emcee.

The weekend also will include many daytime mini-concerts, workshops, vendors, a Sunday morning hymn and spiritual sing, song circles, jamming and campfires.

Events start at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. Guests can stay for a day, an evening or for the weekend. There is primitive camping (no hookups).

Full weekend admission is $35 per person ($10 for each evening concert).
