Historical Society visits class at Dobbins Elementary

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Members of Mahoning Valley Historical Society recently visited fourth-grade students at Dobbins Elementary School, Poland. Students learned about the history of mining and manufacturing in the Mahoning Valley through historical newspaper articles, pictures and video interviews and newscasts. The lesson demonstrated how these industries impacted the local economy, transportation and the population. Students, from left, are Jonathan Hillyer, Kayla Cetor, Sara White and Aubrey Zimmers.
