Champion 12, Canfield 1

In a tune-up for both teams before regional semifinals, Champion (28-2) blew away Canfield behind McKenzie Zigmont’s 10 strikeouts. Zigmont and Molly Williams each had three hits, one of which was a triple for Williams. Megan Turner hit a home run and had three RBIs. Allison Smith had two hits and three RBIs as well. Maura Kennedy hit a home run for Canfield (21-5).

FOOTBALL

Two Liberty High School football players have made college choices. John Spivey will play for Allegheny College while Tyler Cargill will play for Thiel College.
