A Time For Recovery Outreach will be having a resume workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County’s Main Branch meeting room, 305 Wick Ave.

Instructor Ladonna Walker will show participants how to properly create a resume to land a job. The workshop is for people age 16 and older. This is an outreach event and isn’t affiliated with the library. For information, contact Ramona Jones at 330-565-2118.

NORTH LIMA

Chuck Hanni, arson investigator with the Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal, is guest speaker at Beaver Township Police Department’s Crime Watch meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Shepherd of the Valley, 9111 Sharrot Road at the intersection with W. Western Reserve Road.

Hanni will provide an overview of an arson investigator’s duties. Beaver Township Fire Chief Larry Sauerwein will provide fire safety information and tips.

Groundbreaking set for Woodside Garden

AUSTINTOWN

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Austintown Woodside Community Garden is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Residents will be able to plant seeds for a sunflower field after the ceremony.

The garden is on the former Woodside Elementary School property at 4105 Elmwood Ave., which was obtained by the township in a land swap with the Austintown Local School District. The township plans to develop the property into a food forest.

Parade units sought

People interested in participating in this year’s Fourth of July parade can call the Austintown Township building at 330-792-8584. The parade is scheduled for noon on Raccoon Road.

The final meeting of the Fourth of July Committee is scheduled for June 12 before the 6 p.m. township trustees meeting.
