Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave. will offer the following opportunities: Monday, morning stretch classes at 9:30 a.m., snack facts at 10 and crochet classes at 10:15; Tuesday, cookie decorating with Windsor House at 9:15 a.m. and yoga ($5) at 10:30; Wednesday, Memorial Day potluck breakfast at 9 a.m. and morning stretch class at 9:30; Thursday, movies with popcorn and hot chocolate at 9:30 a.m. and yoga ($5) at 10:30; and Friday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m. and Tai Chi classes at noon ($5); and May 28, Memorial Day service at the monument in front of the center at 10:45 a.m. Coffee bar every morning, 8:30 to 11 a.m.; fitness rooms open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and 5 p.m. second Wednesday of every month, Fourth Ward Block Watch monthly meetings. Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 14 E. State St., will host a Paint and Take Art Class from 1 to 3 p.m. June 29. No experience is necessary. Dessert will be served. Registration is required by calling the center at 330-544-3676.

Ohio Living Park Vista Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has scheduled the following activities: Monday, community fun day at 10 a.m. at Boardman Park; Tuesday, computer class and brush, knife and needle club; and Petersburg fun day at 10 a.m. and computer class, beginner and intermediate bridge and party bridge at noon; Wednesday, walk for wellness at 9:30 a.m., watercolors at 10, tap class at noon, 500 bid card club at 1 p.m. and line dancing at 1:30; Thursday, woodcarvers at 9 a.m., fun day at Boardman Park at 10, and multi-media art, socialization and toning exercise at noon; and Friday, chair yoga ($7 or $5) at 1 p.m. Call 330-744-5071 in advance for reservations for all classes and events. Senior Corps Retired Senior Volunteer Program, located in First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, 201 Wick Ave., is under the Corp. for National and Community Service. It is a volunteer program with the mission of linking volunteers, age 55 and over, with a variety of volunteer opportunities within their community. There are sites throughout Mahoning and Trumbull counties with opportunities such as senior companionship, preparing and serving meals, meal delivery for homebound seniors, tutoring/mentoring children, providing transportation and community gardens. There is no maximum requirement of volunteer hours. There is a short application, and the program coordinator will meet with volunteers to match them with their preferred site based on interests, skills and location.
