The public is invited to attend a Holy Spirit Retreat at Christ the King Church, 202 E. Park Ave., at 10 a.m. today. Doors open at 9:30. Lunch is provided.
The theme of the retreat is “We Believe in the Holy Spirit.” Participants will worship in song and word, guided by the Holy Spirit. Three teachings will be presented.

Celebrating Unity Day

Pilgrim Baptist Church, 67 McClure St., will celebrate Unity Day at the 11 a.m. service Sunday.
The theme is “United We Stand,” and the text is St. John 17:1-11.
The Rev. Gary Frost will be the speaker at the service.
Council’s program aims to raise awareness about human trafficking

The Holy Family Parish Pastoral Council will sponsor a program on Human Trafficking Awareness from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at in the Holy Family Parish Center, 2729 Center Road. Doors will open at 6:45.
Trooper Joel Hughes of the Ohio State Highway Patrol will present information and answer questions.
Due to the subject matter, this program is targeted to participants age 18 and older.

Choir’s 54th anniversary

B’nai B’rith to honor ‘Guardian of Menorah’

Bonnie Deutsch-Burdman will be honored by B’nai B’rith as the 2017 “Guardian of the Menorah” at a tribute banquet at 6:30 p.m. June 4 at Temple El Emeth, 3970 Logan Ave.
The Guardian of the Menorah Tribute is presented to outstanding members of the community who have demonstrated, through service and commitment, their devotion to the causes of youths and the Jewish and general community.
