HUBBARD
May 11
Arrest: A vehicle check in the 100 block of Youngstown-Hubbard Road resulted in the arrest of Arthur J. Goldberg II, 27, of School Street, Hubbard. Goldberg was wanted on a Mercer County, Pa., warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court on a theft charge.
Arrests: A traffic stop in the 200 block of West Liberty Street led to the arrest of Tyler K. Ashley, 23, of North Oakland Avenue, Sharon, Pa., on a charge of obstructing official business when, authorities said, Ashley provided a phony name and date of birth. Also taken into custody was Larry D. Schulte, 25, of Sanders Avenue, Sharon, who was wanted on two warrants, one a probation-violation charge from Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
Identity fraud: A Jean Drive man discovered someone without authorization had opened a credit-card account online in his name, though no fraudulent activity was found.
Arrest: Kent police handed Aaron T. Cesene, 35, to Hubbard authorities. Cesene, of Hager Street, Hubbard, was wanted on a city warrant.
Identity fraud: A West Park Avenue woman discovered during an employment background check that someone had tried to use her personal information to obtain a car loan.
May 13
Assault: Police charged Samantha L. Jones, 31, of South Myers Avenue, Sharon, Pa., with simple assault after a Grandview Avenue woman alleged Jones had grabbed her hair and struck the accuser’s face, leaving a red mark, during an argument at a family get-together.
May 14
Theft: A Warren woman and her daughter alleged a Hubbard man, 58, has refused to return the older woman’s dog.
LIBERTY
May 11
Child endangerment: Police charged Ollie L. Myles and Shylinda W. McBride, both 28 and of Frederick Street, Liberty, with endangering a child and obstructing official business after having attempted a traffic stop from which officers were led on a vehicular pursuit before the car reportedly drove through a yard and struck a residence in the 2900 block of Roosevelt Drive with a 4-year-old child in the back seat. Myles also was charged with vandalism. In addition, police said, McBride provided misleading information about Myles when asked who had driven the vehicle.
Incident: A woman reported having found a bullet hole on a door frame to her Merrill Road residence. The bullet likely was a small caliber round, police surmised.
May 12
Criminal damaging: A double-pane sliding-glass door window was broken at a home in the 4000 block of Madison Road.
Theft: A car’s rear license plate was removed in the 200 block of Goldie Road.
Theft: A woman in her 20s reportedly stole $111 worth of steaks and shrimp from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., then left in a dark-blue Honda.
May 13
Arrest: After having been pulled over on Belmont Avenue, Adham Aburahma, 22, of Trumbull Avenue, Liberty, was taken into custody on a warrant charging failure to appear in court.
Possible overdose: Officers received information that a man was unconscious on a restroom floor at a Motor Inn Drive motel, where paramedics reportedly found two pills the victim said were Tramadol after he had been given Narcan to reverse the effects of opioids and came to. Tramadol is commonly used to treat moderate to severe pain.
May 14
Arrest: While responding to a noise complaint at a Belmont Avenue motel, authorities arrested Joshua B. Estep of West Avondale Avenue, Youngstown, upon discovering he was wanted on a Struthers warrant charging assault. Estep, 24, also was charged with obstructing official business when, police said, he gave a false name.
May 15
Arrest: A vehicle check in the 3900 block of Belmont Avenue led to the arrest of Victoria Levy, 55, of Florida Avenue, McDonald, who was wanted on a Warren warrant charging her with intimidation.
Drugs: Police near Church Hill-Hubbard Road pulled over and charged Terrell D. Green of Colonial Drive, Liberty, with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and operating a vehicle impaired after saying Green had a 0.146 blood-alcohol content, which exceeds Ohio’s 0.08 legal intoxication limit. Later, an officer reviewed a video recording of the arrest that showed Green placing a bag of suspected cocaine between the cruiser’s seats in an effort to hide the evidence, a report alleged.
GIRARD
May 15
Citation: Michael Diamantes of Gary Avenue, Girard, was issued a minor-misdemeanor citation after police had received several calls about a dog running loose in traffic near Church Hill Road. The animal has been seen loose and without a collar multiple times, an officer said.
Menacing: A West Liberty Street woman alleged a neighbor had threatened to harm her after the accuser had sought to collect $20 owed her.
Possible drug abuse: Police received a report that a male may have ingested heroin and passed out at Tod Park off U.S. Route 422, though limited information was provided about the situation.
May 16
Aggravated menacing: Robert J. Davies of Hitchcock Road, Boardman, faced an aggravated-menacing charge after a man alleged Davies, 64, had come to his East Kline Street residence and threatened to shoot the accuser while trying to pick up a woman at the home.
Arrest: Police arrested Delores M. Karnofel, 57, at her Greenwood Avenue residence. The Girard woman was wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear in court.
Drugs: Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive male at a North Highland Avenue home before charging Timothy A. Doran, 27, and Stephen C. Doran, 28, both of North Highland, Girard, with drug abuse. Timothy Doran was given Narcan to reverse the effects of an apparent opioid overdose; in addition, a cut straw with possible heroin residue, a digital scale and several small torn bags with suspected heroin were found, authorities alleged.
Menacing/criminal mischief: Police responding to a disturbance in the 500 block of Lawrence Avenue were told a group of juveniles had been threatening one another and tried to goad one into a fight. Also, the mother of one of the teens reported someone had shot a window to her residence with a BB and tossed eggs at the home.
Theft: A woman noticed prescription pain medication missing from her mother’s Hazel Avenue residence.
May 17
Arrest: Police picked up Albert B. Akins III, 31, of Illinois Avenue, Girard, who was walking near Ohio and North Davis streets. He was wanted on a Weathersfield Township warrant.
