Youngstown police awards ceremony is Thursday

YOUNGSTOWN — The city police department’s annual awards ceremony honoring officers’ exceptional performances is scheduled for Thursday.

The event will take place at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church hall on Via Mount Carmel.

Officers will receive commendations for their work over the last year.

The department’s top awards are Excellent Police Duty and the Lifesaving Award.
