“NCIS” (8 p.m., CBS): We’re braced for lots of danger on the Season 14 finale of “NCIS.” Gibbs, McGee and Torres travel to a remote area of Paraguay that’s controlled by a violent group of rebels in an attempt to locate a Navy Seal who disappeared during an unsanctioned trip.

“American Epic” (9 p.m., PBS): For music lovers, “American Epic” is a can’t-miss, three-part documentary. It whisks us back to the Roaring Twenties to recall the fledgling days of the recording industry – a time when scouts traveled the country in search of undiscovered talent.

‘PJ Masks Live!’ coming to Packard

“PJ Masks Live! Time to Be a Hero,” a new musical production based on the animated children’s TV series that airs daily on Disney Junior, will come to Packard Music Hall on Nov. 15.

Tickets are $22, $32, $42, $52 and $96.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and at the Packard box office, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW. The performance starts at 6 p.m.

“PJ Masks” follows the thrilling nighttime adventures of three young friends who transform into their dynamic alter egos – Catboy, Owlette and Gekko – when they put on their pajamas at night and activate their animal amulets. Together, they embark on action-packed capers, solving mysteries and learning valuable lessons along the way. The live show features familiar and original music, acrobatics and immersive interaction with the audience.

Race horses to run at the fairgrounds

CANFIELD

A harness-racing training day will be Sunday at the Canfield Fairgrounds at noon. Admission is free. Young horses will start racing from a starting gate for their first or second time as they learn the ropes as a race horse. There will be no pari-mutuel betting.

The Canfield Harness Horseman’s Association in conjunction with the Canfield Fair Board will be presenting three days of harness racing at this year’s Canfield Fair: Sept. 1 at 11 a.m., Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. and Labor Day at noon. Admission will be free, and there will be pari-mutuel betting.

The horseman’s association will host a betting seminar before racing each day as well as doing giveaways and selling T-shirts and hats.

The association welcomes new members. A membership is $10 per year, and members do not have to own a horse, or know anything about horses or horse racing to join.
