MCCTC teacher receives award for promoting literacy

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Julie Pagnotta, right, recently received the Commitment to Literacy Award from the Mahoning Valley Council of the International Reading Association. A reception took place at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Pagnotta is an early childhood instructor at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, and has been teaching there since 1987. She was nominated by coworker Terry Billock, left, for sharing her love of literature and promoting the importance of reading throughout her teaching career.
