Name change

YOUNGSTOWN

Dominion East Ohio on Friday began serving customers under its new name, Dominion Energy Ohio.

The move reflects results of a May 10 shareholder vote transforming the name of the company’s corporate parent from Dominion Resources Inc. to Dominion Energy Inc.

Changes to company bills, building signage, trucks, employee uniforms and other identifying marks will occur in the coming months.

A new logo, last modified in 2000, also took effect Friday.

Letter to Trump

NILES

On Monday, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, a Democrat from Cleveland, will stand with Mahoning Valley steelworkers at USW Local 2155 Union Hall in Niles to outline priorities for resetting U.S.-China trade relations in ways that produce meaningful, tangible benefits for U.S. steel companies and workers. Brown is sending a letter to President Donald J. Trump on Monday insisting Ohio priorities be included in the administration’s “100 Day Plan” on trade with China.

In his letter, Brown will outline several steps to improve U.S.-China trade policy, including addressing China’s steel overcapacity and Chinese government subsidies for steel.

Gander Mountain

Marcus Lemonis, the purchaser of the Gander Mountain Co. chain, recently tweeted out a new list of stores that will continue under landlord cooperation, and the Niles location is on the list.

Lemonis is the CEO of Camping World Holdings Inc.

Camping World, the nation’s largest network of RV-centric retail locations and only provider of a comprehensive portfolio of services, protection plans, products and resources for the outdoor enthusiast, announced May 1 the planned acquisition of certain assets of Gander Mountain Co.
