Woman faces charges after crash
YOUNGSTOWN
A woman who is being investigated for a one-vehicle accident early Tuesday on Interstate 680 north near the Shirley Road exit picked up several charges for hitting a pole just before that accident, reports said.
Jaquaiza King, 22, of Youngstown, is charged with driving under suspension, failure to control and hit-skip.
Reports said officers were assisting Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers who were investigating the accident on I-680 when a witness told them King’s vehicle had hit a pole moments earlier on East Boston Avenue.
King’s vehicle had damage that was consistent with hitting the pole, reports said.
Police issued King her citations at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where she was taken for treatment for head injuries she sustained in the accident on the interstate. The patrol has yet to file charges in that case.
