Free lecture on aviation museum

CANFIELD

Bill Griffin will give a free lecture on The Ernie Hall Aviation Museum at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Canfield Historical Society’s Bond House, 44 W. Main St.

The museum, in Warren, honors local aviators and bears the name of one of America’s most well-regarded aeronautical pioneers. The lecture will highlight the birth of the aviation industry through present day and feature some of the museum’s artifacts.

Jazz, Cabernet at Station Square

Station Square Ristorante, 4250 Belmont Ave., will present A Cabaret of Cabernet, featuring jazz vocalist Tania Grubbs, on May 18 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person; email adamzagotti@gmail.com for information or reservations.

Singer-songwriter at Soap Gallery

Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter Christopher Mark Jones will present a night of music at Soap Gallery, 117 S. Champion St., at 7:30 p.m. May 13. Tickets are $10 at the door.

A former pro basketball player and street busker in Paris, Jones’ latest album is “Incantations.” Opening the show will be folk musician Charlie Mosbrook.
