Bresha Meadows stays in custody

WARREN

Bresha Meadows, 15, of Warren, accused of fatally shooting her father last year, has been denied release to her family by Trumbull County Juvenile Court Judge Pamela Rintala.

Bresha was 14 when she was charged with shooting and killing her father in their Warren home July 28 while he was asleep.

An attorney for Bresha had petitioned Judge Rintala to allow the teenager to live with her aunt in Cleveland until her trial, but the girl’s aunt, a Cleveland police domestic-violence detective, said the petition was denied, reported 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

Bresha’s trial is scheduled to begin May 22. A final pretrial appearance is scheduled for today.
