YOUNGSTOWN — Officers found two handguns and 27 pills early Sunday morning inside a car they pulled over in the 700 block of Sherwood Avenue for having a broken tail light.

Also to be arraigned is a passenger in the car, Levon Jackson, 23, of Sherwood Avenue, who is charged with possession of drugs, being a felon in possession of a firearm and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Reports said when officers tried to pull the car over about 12:05 a.m., Sanders stopped briefly then drove away, stopping again in front of Jackson’s home. He ran out of the car but was tackled in the yard, reports said.
