Austintown trustees approve 2017 budget of $20.3M

AUSTINTOWN — Township trustees approved permanent appropriations for 2017 at a special meeting today.

The township plans to spend $20.3 million this year. The general fund was appropriated $3.5 million. Police and fire are the departments receiving the most funding, with $5.8 million and $3.4 million respectively.

The road and bridge fund was appropriated $1.75 million.
