Emily Gilligan’s two-RBI single and Sierra Schrader’s RBI single in the top of the tenth allowed the Blue Devils (1-0) to survive a two-run rally from Girard. Rachel Ward got the win, striking out two, walking two and giving up five runs on five hits. Hannah Donkers went 4-for-4 with two RBIs. Kendra Kelly hit a two-run home run while going 4-for-6 with three RBIs and Megan Ward knocked home three runs on three hits for the winning side.
