The Canfield swim and dive team recently competed in the sectionals meet.
Several swimmers and divers placed high enough to advance to the District Championship meet, which took place on Feb. 18 at Cleveland State University.
The girls who qulaified included Rachel Williams in the 200-yard freetyle relay, Sydney Schuler in the 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard freestyle relay, Felia Busk in the 200-yard freestyle relay, Elle Dawson in the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard freestyle relay and Maggie Brucoli in the one-meter diving.
The boys who qualified included Lake Bennett in the 100-yard freestyle, the 100-yard breaststroke, the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay, Cullen Brady in the 50-yard freestyle, the 100-yard freestyle, the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay, Kamran Sarac in the 50-yard freestyle, the 100-yard freestyle, the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay, Robby DiDomenico in the 500-yard freestyle, the 200-yard medley relay, James Dietz the 50-yard freestyle and 200-yard medley relay, Bobby Kutsch in the 50-yard freestyle, the 500-yard freestyle, the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay, Jason Paris in the 500-yard freestyle, the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard medley relay, Joe Klepec in the 500-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke, Matthew Peckman in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard medley relay and Zac Sine in the one-meter diving.
