Ben Walsh, Justin Blasko, Tallon Price and Kincaid Mrakovich each scored two goals and Poland held Meadville to two second-half goals to erase a 5-2 halftime deficit. Stellar goaltending by Zach Simon, and a tightened up defense held the host team in check for the final two periods. The Poland defense was led by Ryan Maker, Tyler Campbell, Austin Frank, Rhys Jones and Spencer Price. McGuire Franko, Michael Costello, Kyle Roarty, Michael Kluchar and David Bouchedid also gave Poland (1-1) quality minutes. Meadville visits Fairview, Pa., on April 4.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Bowden, Lipke named All-Ohio
COLUMBUS
Warren Harding’s Lynn Bowden and Boardman’s Holden Lipke were named to the Associated Press Division I All-Ohio boys basketball team, which was released on Wednesday. Bowden, a 6-foot senior guard who averaged 19.4 points for the Raiders, was a Special Mention pick. Lipke, a 6-4 junior guard, was an Honorable Mention selection after averaging 14.5 points and 5.5 rebounds.
