Shooting probed

AUSTINTOWN

Police are investigating a shooting that reportedly took place outside a nightclub Sunday morning.

Police were sent to St. Elizabeth Austintown campus when a man came in with a gunshot wound to his right shoulder. The victim and witnesses told police it happened outside a club on South Four Mile Run Road. A deputy sheriff working security at the club told police he did not hear a gunshot, however.

A resident who lives near the club reported hearing people screaming in the parking lot of a nearby business on South Four Mile Run. The witness said he heard car doors slamming and people screaming and shouting.

Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact Detective Sgt. Jordan Yacavone at 330-270-5109.
