The Mahoning Valley Procurement Technical Assistance Center will present “Selling to the Government 101 — The GSA Schedule Option” from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Small Business Development Office at Youngstown State University, Williamson College of Business at 221 N Hazel St.

Learn more about which GSA schedule is right for each business, research previous sales, navigate the application process and know how to market as a GSA schedule holder.

GSA Schedule Contracts, also known as GSA Schedules or Federal Supply Schedules, are indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, long-term contracts under the General Services Administration’s Multiple Award Schedule Program.

Supply fulfilled

YESCO, 1142 N. Meridian Road, an independent electrical supply and wholesale company focused on the commercial supply of electrical components and products that support a safe and profitable project completion, recently announced that it has fulfilled the supply of all lighting and switch gear used on six of the Dakota Access Pipeline Project terminals.

The Dakota Access Pipeline is a 1,172-mile underground pipeline extending from the Bakken/Three Forks production area in North Dakota to Patoka, Ill. The pipeline will transport domestically-produced, light, sweet crude oil from North Dakota to major refining markets.

Fundraising effort

BOARDMAN

The Boardman Family Video store, 5205 Market St., is conducting a “Round It Up” campaign in support of finding a cure for lymphoma. The fundraising effort will take place through next Sunday.

During the fundraising, customers are asked to round up their transactions to the nearest dollar. All donations collected help fund vital lymphoma research.

This is the sixth annual campaign, and thus far, Boardman residents have helped raise nearly $6 million. In that time frame the funding helped get approval of 14 new lymphoma treatment drugs and 63 research grants.

VAST luncheon

NEWTON FALLS

The Valley Alliance for Science and Technology will have a luncheon with Jeremy Sewell, vice president of Quality Switch, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday .

The event will take place at Roby Lee’s Restaurant followed by a tour at Quality Switch Manufacturing Facility and Lab, 715 Arlington Blvd.

Space is limited. VAST members get in at no charge and non-members pay $25.
