KSU-Trumbull creates memorial scholarship


WARREN

Kent State University at Trumbull recently established the William C. Horton Memorial Scholarship with an endowment of more than $25,000 from friends, family and local organizations. The scholarship will be awarded to residents of Trumbull County pursuing a degree in business while attending Kent State Trumbull. Special consideration will be given to students who volunteer in the community.

Horton was born in Warren in 1933. He was the owner-operator of Horton Electrical Contracting Inc. and served the community through various organizations. He passed away Aug. 28, 2013. The deadline to apply for a 2017-2018 academic year scholarship is May 1.
