Kate Heagerty, Adam Buente are engaged

Mark and Kathy Heagerty of Canfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kate Heagerty, and Adam Buente.

The couple reside in Boardman.

The prospective groom is the son of Victor Buente and Lynan Popio, both of Canfield.

The wedding will take place at 1:30 p.m. May 27 at St. Michael Church. A reception will follow at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park. Invitations will be issued for both events.

Miss Heagerty graduated magna cum laude from Duquesne University with a master’s degree in speech and language pathology. She works as a speech therapist in Youngstown.

Mr. Buente earned his bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate from Ohio State University. He is an attorney in Youngstown.
