Anita Mallik, David Shilling set May date

Anita Mallik and David Shilling, both of Cleveland, are announcing their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Sib Chand and Laxmi Mallik of Lyndhurst, Ohio. The prospective groom is the son of Don and Amy Shilling of Boardman.

A Catholic wedding ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. May 28 at St. Malachi Church in Cleveland, and a Hindu ceremony and Buddhist blessing will follow at 4 p.m. at Wyndham Hotel, where the reception will follow. Invitations will be issued for the events.

Miss Mallik graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. She is a lead design engineer for General Electric in Cleveland.

Mr. Shilling graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Cleveland State University. He is a lead systems engineer for General Electric in Cleveland.
