Joy Bucci and her class found a special surprise on their Valentine’s Day walk.
Bucci read the book “The Day it Rained Hearts,” by Felicia Bond to her students at Poland North Preschool. After reading the book, Bucci and her students went on a walk to celebrate Valentine’s Day. On their walk, the students were surprised by what they found.
The students found hearts during their walk that they could use to help celebrate Valentine’s Day. The story is about a day it rained hearts and one little girl had decided that she could use those hearts to make the perfect Valentine’s Day treat for her animal friends.
Bucci’s students collected the hearts while they were on their walk and brought them back to the classroom to create their own Valentine’s Day crafts just in time for the holiday.
The students were happy to have the chance to use what they found and turn them into a special gift.
