St. Pat's revelers beware: OVI checkpoint through morning; more patrols all weekend

AUSTINTOWN

An OVI checkpoint is ongoing on Mahoning Avenue at Howard Avenue here through 2:30 a.m., according to the Mahoning County OVI Task Force.

In addition to the check point, police are increasing patrol units throughout Mahoning County for the duration of the weekend.

Officers with the OVI Task Force urge drivers to make arrangements to get home safely if they intend on drinking alcohol.
