Closed housing sales down across the Mahoning Valley, pending up

Closed housing sales were down across the Mahoning Valley in February.

Closed housing sales in Mahoning County last month dropped 7.4 percent year over year to 150 while pending sales were up 14.6 percent to 244, according to the Youngstown/Columbiana County Association of Realtors.

New listings in the county dropped 3.1 percent to 285, and the inventory of homes dropped 37.7 percent to 900.

The average sales price in the county increased 10.5 percent to $110,548.

Columbiana County’s closed sales dropped 14 percent to 37. Pending sales increased 22.8 percent to 70.

New listings in the county dropped 4.7 percent to 81, and the inventory of homes dropped 14.9 percent to 394.

The average sales price for a home in the county dropped 16.8 percent to $85,887.

Closed housing sales in Trumbull County dropped 10.6 percent to 118 while pending sales increased 16.5 percent to 198, according to the Warren Area Board of Realtors.

New listings in the county dropped 7 percent to 185, and the inventory of homes dropped 18.5 percent to 825.

The average sales price in the county increased 1.6 percent to $65,000.
