The Vindicator will run a listing of area services that are open to the public in observance of Palm Sunday, April 9; Holy Thursday, April 13; Good Friday, April 14; Holy Saturday, April 15; and Easter, April 16.
The deadline to submit information is 5 p.m. March 28. Publication will be April 1.
Information should include the denomination and name of the church, address, city or suburb, the day, time, type of service, your name and a phone number for verification.

Steroids case

Sentencing is set for July for two men who pleaded guilty Wednesday in the U.S. Northern District Court Of Ohio to importing anabolic steroids from China.
James Cleeland, 50, of Berlin Center, and Michael Stanec, 40, of Canfield, entered their pleas before U.S. Magistrate Judge George Limbert. Federal prosecutors said that Stanec received the steroids from China and supplied them to Cleeland for shipping in 2013.
Both are free on bond pending their sentencings.
Man surrenders

An Ellsworth man wanted on drug charges surrendered to township authorities Tuesday, according to a police report.
Brent Herman, 40, of Leffingwell Drive, is charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and illegal possession of chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine in the vicinity of a juvenile, a felony.
The charges stem from a February raid of a Shields Road home that turned up evidence of meth manufacturing.
In Mahoning County Area Court on Tuesday, Herman pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge, according to court records. No plea was accepted for the felony charge.
Mooney YES Fest

Cardinal Mooney High School, 2545 Erie St., will host its fourth annual YES Fest from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday. The event is a celebration of positivity culminating in students and community committing to saying “YES” to a healthy lifestyle and saying “NO” to drugs and alcohol. The free event is open to the public.
Guest speaker this year is Eric C. Ungaro, a Youngstown native, teacher and coach from Howland High School. Ungaro will share his experiences in combating addictions and their effects on the individual, family and community.

Trustee is hired
WARREN
Trumbull County Engineer Randy Smith has hired Weathersfield Township Trustee Steven Gerberry of Mineral Ridge to serve as Smith’s deputy administrative assistant. Gerberry will be involved in providing assistance to Trumbull County townships in abating nuisances and blight.
He also will be “an integral part of the staff” as a highway supervisor and highway superintendent retire, a news release says. He earns $40,997 annually.
Gerberry, a trustee eight years, said he will continue as a trustee and is running for re-election this year.
