Despite chilly weather, hundreds came out for Sunday’s 39th annual parade in Boardman, in which an estimated 140 entries took part. Trophies were awarded to first-place finishers in seven categories:

Best Themed Float: Burke School of Irish Dance

Best Color Guard: Tri-County Marine Detachment

Best Band: U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Band

Best Drum Line: U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Band

Best of Parade: U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Band

Best Novelty Unit: Capt. Thomas W. Patton, Camp 2021 Sons of the Confederate Veterans

Best Irish Theme: Burke School of Irish Dance
