Taddeo hopes his book will prompt thought

Daniel Taddeo, retired teacher, father, grandfather and author, recently published the book “I Believe,” as a thought-provoking discussion of his beliefs and truths.

Taddeo hopes that by sharing his, readers will begin to analyze and consider what they believe for themselves as they agree or disagree with him.

The book is a proclaimed “work in progress,” and his beliefs are not limited to the published quotes and are subject to change.

Writers plan meeting

CANFIELD

Monday Night Writers will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. March 20 in the small meeting room of the Canfield Branch if the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, 43 W. Main St.

Area writers, both published and unpublished, are invited.

Nancy Christie, author of “Traveling Left of Center and Other Stories,” will lead the session, which offers an opportunity for members to get group feedback on works-in-progress.

Inmate pens book

MERCER, PA

Russel Ferguson, who is incarcerated in Mercer, has written “Prison Survival Guide,” which recently was released by RoseDog Books of Pittsburgh.

The author says the book debunks several rumors about living in prison and sheds light on many of the subjects that scare people about going there. Ferguson also teaches the proper mindset and code of personal conduct necessary to survive a period of incarceration.

This is Ferguson’s first book. Upon his release, he plans to continue writing, make music and one day have his own farm. The 74-page paperback book is $11.
