Students at Poland North Preschool participated in the second annual Preschool Olympics event on Feb. 10.
Samantha Cox, transitional kindergarten teacher, set up the gymnasium with different events for her students to participate in.
There were relay races, a water balloon toss, basketball and several other games.
The students wore crowns they made out of paper plates. They decorated them to look like the olive leaf crowns that were used in the Olympics.
For some events, the students were divided into teams to compete against the other team.
Other events were individual and the students all competed against each other. Even though the students were competing against one another, they had fun with it and helped each other out when needed.
At the end of the Olympics, Cox placed a medal around each of the students’ necks to represent their participation in the Olympics and show they were all winners.
